The enrollment and course fees include the booked lessons, required teaching materials (including a textbook), tests, and a certificate of participation (upon request). Costs for recreational activities (e.g., food, drinks, entrance fees) are borne by participants. Insurance is not included; students are strongly advised to obtain adequate health, accident, and liability insurance.
One teaching unit (face-to-face) lasts 45 minutes. Online lessons last 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
On public holidays, a reduced schedule may apply.
Accommodation and board (if booked) are provided only for the duration of the course. Arrival: Sunday between 17:00–20:00 before the course starts. Departure: Saturday morning after the course ends.
Full board includes breakfast Monday–Saturday and two meals (lunch and dinner) Monday–Friday. For stays of two weeks or longer, breakfast and dinner on Sunday are included. No lunch is provided on Sunday.
Damages must be compensated. Participants should ensure they have appropriate insurance.
During activities or lessons, photos may be taken and used for website or social media. If you do not agree, please inform us on the first course day.
Place of jurisdiction: Bamberg, Germany.
You can book your course via email, phone, or messaging. You will then receive an invoice for the full course price.
A non‑refundable registration fee of €70 is due upon booking.
A down payment of 20% of the total course price is required to confirm your reservation. Without this payment, your reservation is not valid. We will confirm receipt in writing.
The down payment can be credited toward a later course if the booking is postponed.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the course start date. If payment has not been received, SprachHaus may cancel the booking.
All bank or PayPal fees are borne by the student.
Online lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
For Monday lessons, cancellation must occur by Saturday (48 hours).
Otherwise, the full fee will be charged.
Purchased online lessons expire after 24 months.
If a student cancels, the following refund rules apply:
Cancellation more than 30 days before the course: full refund of the course fee minus the non‑refundable registration fee and the 20% down payment. The down payment can be reallocated to a future booking.
Cancellation 30–21 days before course start: SprachHaus keeps 20% of the total course fee.
Cancellation 20–14 days before course start: SprachHaus keeps 50% of the total course fee.
Cancellation 13–7 days before course start: SprachHaus keeps 80% of the total course fee.
Cancellation 6 days or fewer before the course start: no refund.
The registration fee (€70) is always non‑refundable.
If the student requires a visa, the full course fee becomes due 30 days before the course start.
If the visa is refused, a full refund will be issued minus the €70 registration fee, provided the official visa refusal letter is submitted.
SprachHaus is not liable for loss, theft, accidents, or damages except in cases of gross negligence or intent.
Changes or special agreements must be made in writing.
German law applies.
