I. General conditions


The enrolment and course fees include the booked lesson, the respective teaching material (incl. a textbook), tests, and a certificate of participation (on request). Costs incurred for recreational activities organized by SprachHaus (e.g., for food, drinks, or entry tickets) are

borne by the participants themselves. Insurance is not included in the course fees. It is  expressly recommended that you take out the necessary insurance in a timely manner.


A one-on-one teaching unit (lesson) lasts 45 minutes. An online lesson lasts 1 hour (60 minutes), unless stated otherwise.


On public holidays there will be a reduced schedule. 


Accommodation and board are available only during the time of a course. The time of arrival is Sunday, between 5 and 8 p.m., before the course begins, and the time of departure is Saturday morning after the course ends.


Booking full board includes breakfast from Monday to Saturday and two meals, lunch and dinner, from Monday to Friday. If you stay two weeks or longer, breakfast and dinner on Sunday is included. There is no lunch in the house on Sunday. However, a visit to a local

restaurant can be easily arranged. 


Damages must be replaced. Therefore, we recommend that you make sure you have the necessary insurance, in particularly liability insurance, health insurance and accident insurance.


It is possible that during free time activities and courses photos will be taken to be published on the internet. Should you not be in agreeance with this, please share that with us on the day of your first course.


The place of jurisdiction is Bamberg, Germany.


II. Payment and due date


  • You can book your course via email, instant messaging or by phone. You will then receive an invoice with the total course price by email.
  • A down payment of 10% of the total price will be asked to confirm your reservation. Without the down payment, your reservation is not valid. We will confirm the receipt of the payment and your reservation.
  • The respective residual amount must have been received by us at least three weeks before course commencement.
  • All bank and PayPal fees are at the expense of the student.
  • Online lessons must be cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled date. Otherwise the lesson will be charged.


Unless otherwise agreed and established in writing, cancellations are handled as follows:


  • Cancellation 14 to 21 days before course commencement: 25 % of the course and accommodation fees.
  • Cancellation 13 days or fewer before course commencement: 50 % of the course and accommodation fees.
  • Cancellation seven days or fewer before course commencement: 100 % of the course and accommodation fees.
  • The down payment is non-refundable in case of a cancellation, irrespective of the cancellation date
